Finally saw it for the first time, and it was everything I'd been told it was, an amazing HORROR movie...not a slasher movie, a HORROR movie (i.e., the fact that it's actually geniunely scary)

(Halloween is a slasher the same way Weezer is emo...it may have popularized the genre, and spawned a wave of imitators, but those imitators are usually of such poor quality that the name has such a negative connotation that you make to point out how much better it is...
